Information Update 21/02/2021
Hi all,
We hope you're all well. We just wanted to give you another update regarding our current situation with COVID-19. Please read the whole update. We are happy to say, following advice, that we are now able to start our dog walking and pet visiting service again from (Monday 22th February). However, our overnight pet sitting and pet taxi services will currently remain unavailable.
Please see below updates for information on our COVID-19 procedures.
Please also beware of our prices increases which were implemented last year.
- Dog Walking - is remaining at £12 for an hour for one dog but any additional dogs from the same household will be charged at £5 per dog.
- Pet Visits - is increasing to £10 for 30 minutes for the first two pets, where any additional pets will be charged at £1 per pet.
Please remember that it is still vital that you inform us immediately if yourself or anyone in your household shows any symptoms, has to self isolate or is contacted by NHS track and trace. Also, it is important that you ensure that you have a contingency in place in the event that we are unable to work due to either of us being diagnosed with the virus, having symptoms of the virus or being told to self isolate by NHS track and trace.
Please confirm with us as soon as possible if you have any dates currently booked in with us and would like to keep/amend/cancel them.
Stay safe. All our best.
David & Nia.
Information Update 24/08/2020
Hi all,
We hope you're all well. We just wanted to give you another update regarding our current situation with COVID-19. Please read the whole update as there is new information for both dog walking and pet visit customers. We are happy to say, following advice, that we are now able to start our pet visiting service again from today (Monday 24th August). However, our overnight pet sitting and pet taxi services will currently remain unavailable.
Due to the current guidelines there will be some changes to the way we operate our pet visiting service. Please see our previous update on our website if you would like information regarding our COVID-19 procedures and our dog walking service.
With regards to pet visits, to help us limit contact within your home in order to help keep yourselves, us and other customers safe, we would appreciate if you could do the following:
- Close any doors you can to limit the amount of rooms that your pets can enter, therefore limiting us and our contact with your home.
- Have a designated spot with everything needed for your pets for the duration of our visits i.e. food, bowls, treats, medication, litter etc.
We understand that this will not be possible for all households but anything you can do to reduce our contact and the risk of transmission is much appreciated.
We will also be continuing to take every care to minimise transmission ourselves by:
- Using our own hand sanitizer before entering and after leaving your home.
- Using disinfectant wipes to enter and leave your home.
- We will also try and minimise any unnecessary contact with surfaces within your home and will disinfect any surfaces we do come into contact with.
Also, due to COVID-19, we have had to take the difficult decision of bringing forward our price increase which would have come into effect from April 2021. We will be introducing this increase from today (Monday 24th August). Currently, this will only affect our dog walking and pet visiting services and will bring us in line with other pet service providers:

Information Update 21/06/2020
Hi all,
We hope you're all well. We just wanted to give you another update regarding our current situation with COVID-19. We are happy to say, following advice from the NHS, RSPCA, Dogs Trust, CFSG and GOV we are now able to start our dog walking service again from Monday 22nd June 2020. However, all other services will currently remain unavailable.
Due to the current guidelines there will be some changes to the way we operate our dog walking service.
- We will be unable to enter your homes to pick up the dogs, so we will be opening the front door to call them and picking them up from there.
- We will not be able to pick up any mail, parcels or clean up any little accidents.
- Please ensure that you leave your dogs with plenty of water, even if this means leaving down more than one bowl as we will not be able to enter your home to check and replenish.
- We will be using our own leads to minimise contact.
- We will not be walking the dogs in a public space, but will be taking them back to the farm to our own fields, moorlands and forested area.
They will be mixing with their usual friends. However, if you are in the shielding/vulnerable category, please be aware that there is a small chance of transmission from fur to fur and therefore fur to humans. It is down to your own judgement to decide whether this is an acceptable risk for you. If you are in this category and would like your dog walked separately from the others please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We will also be doing our best to reduce any potential risk by wearing face masks, using hand sanitiser, using antibacterial wipes to open and close your front door and regular cleaning throughout the day of the van both inside and out.
We know the majority of people are not yet returning to work, so for the time being we will be prioritising key workers and the vulnerable, so days may vary week to week. We will however do our best to keep some sort of a routine for your dogs. Although, if you do require fixed days, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Please remember that it is still vital that you inform us immediately if yourself or anyone in your household shows any symptoms, has to self isolate or is contacted by NHS track and trace.
We look forward to hearing from you all and if you would like your furry ones to join us just let us know.
Stay safe. All o ur best.
David & Nia.

Information Update 23/03/2020
Hi all,
It is with much sadness that after tonight's ministerial update we have unfortunately decided that the time has come to close our business for the time being. It has been an incredibly difficult decision for us to make but we know that it is the right thing to do.
As of tomorrow (Tuesday 24th March) we will no longer be able to provide any walks or visits until further notice. We will continue to review this in line with the government's advice and will return to normal service as soon as possible. Therefore, as it stands, all dates that are currently booked in with us will be have to be cancelled until we re-open.
Although we are discontinuing our walking and visiting servi ces, our "office" remains open and we are still reachable via telephone, text, WhatsApp, email and Facebook. So, please, if you have any questions or queries, do not hesitate in getting in touch.
On a more personal note, we are so incredibly grateful to everyone for all the support, not just now, but over the last 5 years. We cannot emphasise enough how grateful we are and how luckily we are to have you all.
We have really struggled with this decision but sadly we know it is for the best. We are really going to miss seeing all our furry friends in the weeks and months ahead but are already looking forward to seeing them all again when we re-open.
We wish you all the very best. Take care everyone and stay safe.
Much love to you all and our furry friends!
David & Nia.
Information Update 20/03/2020
Information Update 20/03/2020
Hi all,
We just thought we'd send another update on our current situation regarding walks/visits and our current position regarding the Coronavirus.
As some of you are already aware Nia has a chronic illness and is currently on immunosuppressant medication. The current advice from her nurse is that she is considered to be in the governments 'High Risk' category but does not need to self isolate just yet. That advice could change at any time and if Nia has to self isolate, we will have to close and will cease any walks/visits immediately, even if in the middle of a service and until further notice. This would also be the case if the government were to put in place stricter guidelines that would affect the general population.
Please also be aware that if either of us were to contract the virus, we would have to close to self isolate for 14 days.
So we would like to stress again, please make sure you have contingencies in place and that your emergency contact details are up to date.
We may also have to close for financial reasons. If our work load drops below a certain level it would no longer be financially viable for us to continue working. As a result, we would be unable to carry on providing any services. This isn't a decision we would take lightly, but we have to protect our business in order to be able to provide you with our service again in the near future. We will aim to give you as much notice as possible. If this financial issue arises while we are in the middle of a service with you, we will complete this service.
*************************************************************************************************
Walks
Walks will continue as normal. However, if you do not need us because you are working from home, just let us know and we can resume your walks when you're able to return to work.
If you would like to continue with walks and you are home, we will be practising "social distancing" during pickups. We will pick up as usual but will not be entering your home and will keep a distance with as little social contact as possible.
Our current 48 hour cancellation policy does not and will not apply until this situation with the virus is over. Therefore, you will be fully refunded for any walks that have been cancelled by either you or us during this time.
*************************************************************************************************
Visits
Visits will also continue as normal. However, again, if you do not need us as you have to cancel your trip, our current 48 hour cancellation policy does not and will not apply until this situation with the virus is over.
We have to stress, that if, in the event that we have to close due to contracting the virus or due to government or medical advice, that all visits will be stopped and we will be unable to continue the service. You will be fully refunded for any visits that have been cancelled by either you or us during this time.
*************************************************************************************************
We are continuing to follow all the advice given by NHS, GOV, WHO, WSAVA and Business Wales and are taking every precaution possible.
If you show any symptoms (i.e. cough, fever, shortness of breath), become infected, come into contact with someone who is infected, travelling to or from an affected area, you must notify us immediately. Also, if you have been told to self quarantine, we will not be able provide you with any service.
If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate in contacting us.
We would both like to say a huge thank you to everyone for all the support and help that we have had during this difficult time. We will continue do everything we can to help you stay in work and to care for your fur babies while you're away. We are here to help and support you in any way that we can.
Stay Safe.
David & Nia.

Information Update 11/03/2020
As a result of the increasing rate of Coronavirus cases in the UK, Tails In Motion may have to close in the event that either partner is infected. We are monitoring and following the advice given by NHS, GOV, WHO, WSAVA and Business Wales. We are taking all the necessary precautions to prevent ourselves from contracting and spreading the virus.
If you have any bookings with us which include visits and/or walks, we advise that your emergency contact details are up-to-date and that you have a contingency plan in place should we need to self isolate and close for a minimum period of 14 days.
If necessary, we can provide y ou with other pet service providers' details who we know and trust. However, we cannot guarantee that they will be available.
If you show any symptoms (i.e. cough, fever, shortness of breath), become infected, come into contact with someone who is infected, travelling to or from an affected area you MUST notify Tails In Motion immediately. Also, if you have been told to self quarantine, we will not be able provide you with any service.
In the meantime, Tails In Motion will continue to operate as normal and we will do everything we can to mitigate any issues that arise. We will also continue to monitor the situation as it develops and keep you informed.
Thank you for your cooperation during this time.
All the best.
